The Laundry Route System is software for pickup-and-delivery laundry operators. This page says what data we store, who helps us process it, how long we keep it, and what you can do with it.
Who this covers
"Operators" are the people who sign up and run a laundry business on the platform. "Customers" are the people who book pickups on an operator's site. The operator decides what to collect from customers and how to use it. We store and process it for them.
What we store about operators
- Your account: email address and sign-in records.
- Your business settings: name, phone, notify email, ZIPs, days, prices, add-ons, logo, and colors.
- Your Stripe account ID and whether it can take charges.
- Your subscription status. Stripe holds the billing details.
- A log of account changes: status, settings, refunds, domains, and any support access.
What we store about customers
- Booking details: name, phone, email, pickup address, and ZIP.
- Order history: dates, bag counts, add-ons, tips, totals, and status.
- Gift card codes and balances, and business inquiry messages.
Customers do not create accounts.
Payments
Stripe handles all card payments. Customers pay on a Stripe Checkout page, into the operator's own Stripe account. The platform never sees or stores card numbers. We receive payment status and IDs from Stripe so the booking can be marked paid.
Who helps us run the service
- Stripe: card payments for customers and subscription billing for operators.
- Supabase: hosts our database, sign-in, and file storage (logos).
- Vercel: serves the website and dashboard.
- Resend: sends email alerts and sign-in links.
- Cloudflare Turnstile: checks public forms for bots.
- U.S. Census Bureau geocoder: checks that a pickup address exists. It never blocks a booking.
These providers process data only to run the service for us.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal data.
- We do not share customer lists between operators.
- We do not email an operator's customers for our own marketing.
Your data, your export
Operators can export their data at any time. Today the dashboard downloads orders as a CSV file, one month at a time. Export of every table is on the roadmap. Until it ships, [TBD: how to request a full export].
How long we keep it
While your account is active, we keep your data. After you cancel, we keep it for 90 days so you can export it. Then we delete it. Free preview sites with no activity for 90 days are archived after two warning emails.
Support access
Our support staff can view an operator's account in read-only mode to help with a problem. Every view is logged.
Security
Each operator's data is separated at the database level. Public forms are rate limited and checked for bots. No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach that affects your data, we will tell you [TBD: notice timing and method].
Customers of an operator
If you booked a pickup and want your details changed or removed, contact the operator first. They control their customer records. You can also write to us at [TBD: support email].
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and email operators about material changes.
